Studies

Currently I am an undergraduate student for Interior Design in my final year. My course has enabled me to learn many new skills. Both software skills and personal skills. It also enabled me to work on projects for real clients and work with those clients. I have become very enthusiastic aiming to make the clients vision a reality and am more comfortable presenting my ideas and concepts to the clients. I enjoy working both independently and as  a part of a team. What I enjoy about working as part of a team is that everyone can pitch in their ideas and work together to achieve the best result for the client.

My academic path started in Germany where I studied at a Grammar School. As I was very passionate about learning English and improving it I decided to do a year abroad in Devon when I was 15. Two years after my return to Germany I decided to do my A-Levels at my old school in Devon. My Subjects were Photography, English Language and German as A-Levels and additionally Product Design, Sociology and EPQ as AS-Level. These subjects lead me to discover Interior Design and also helped me both academic and creatively in my studies at University.

About Me

I have been creative since a very young age. I found my creative abilities to be a strength, but it was not until Sixth Form that I started embracing them as a future path. That is why I choose Photography and Product Design among others as subjects. I discovered my passion for Interior Design and became very influenced in the subject.

With some friends I have visited some new holiday homes by living architecture and other architects. I couldn't help but think what I would have done differently when designing the interior for these truly amazing pieces of art. This slowly led to my decision to take this as a University course. For my interview portfolio I included a revised plan for a space I would redesign, the Beach huts in Sheldon, Devon. These little holiday flats are truly stunning and I wanted to plan how they could be reconfigured as permanent 1 person flats. Obviously my talent and abilities were not practised yet, but it showed my lecturers how passionate I was about the subject and opened the doors to my first choice University for me.
